Overview

Papatriantafyllou & Thanasenari advises and represents Greek and international private clients in civil law matters involving family relationships, inheritance and real estate. Based in Athens, we combine legal advice and transactional support with representation before the Greek courts and public authorities.

Our litigation experience informs our advice from the outset, helping clients assess risks, protect their rights and choose the appropriate course of action. We handle each matter with discretion and attention to its personal and financial implications.

Family Law

We advise on consensual and contested divorce, parental responsibility, child custody and contact arrangements, spousal and child support, and financial claims between spouses. Our work also includes paternity disputes, child relocation and applications for interim measures.

We seek negotiated solutions where appropriate and represent clients when court proceedings are necessary, with particular attention to children’s interests and the financial implications for the family.

Inheritance & Succession

We advise on wills, succession planning, acceptance or renunciation of an inheritance, and the division of inherited assets. We represent clients in disputes concerning the validity of wills, inheritance rights and the distribution of estates.

We also assist clients based abroad with inheritance matters involving assets or proceedings in Greece, providing clear guidance on the legal requirements and the steps needed to protect their interests.

Real Estate

We advise private clients on property purchases and sales, legal due diligence and leases. Our work includes reviewing ownership titles and contractual terms, identifying legal risks and supporting clients throughout the transaction.

Residence by Investment (Golden Visa)

We advise international investors and their families on residence in Greece through the Golden Visa programme. Our work includes assessing the applicable eligibility requirements, reviewing the proposed investment, preparing supporting documents and assisting with residence permit applications.

Where an investment involves real estate, we combine immigration advice with legal due diligence and support throughout the property transaction.
